Scenario: 最近は買い物には歩いて行くようにしている。必要な物だけ買うようになるし、運動不足解消にもなる。しかし、今日はセール品をつい沢山買ってしまって、重くなってしまい後悔しながら歩いていると、同じ地区に住んでいる人が車で送ってあげると声をかけてくれた。有り難く乗せていただき、家が近くなってきたのでこう言った。

「そこで降ろしてもらっていいですか？」

"Could you drop me off there?"

【ポイント】"drop"を「ものを落とす」以外の状況で使おう。

"drop"という動詞を「スピード感をもって落とす（落ちる）イメージ」から離れ、様々な状況で使って見ましょう。ロングマンを参照して使い方をまとめます。
