Scenario: 入社してまだ３年にもならないのに昇進した同僚。友人がこんなことを言っていた。

「彼女、ボスといい仲なのよ。」

"She is romantically linked to her boss."

【ポイント１】"be linked to"の使い方。

「リンク」と言えばカタカナにもなっていて、「リンクしている」とか「リンクを張る」といったイメージで使うことが多いと思います（和製英語ではありません。）が、今日のようなフレーズにも使うことができます。

"be linked"という形で使う場合は、次に使う前置詞は"to"や"with"があります。ものや出来事、内容に使う場合が多いですが、人にも使えるようです。

Police think the murders are linked.
警察は、これらの殺人が関連していると考えています。

Some birth defects are linked to smoking during pregnancy.
いくつかの先天性欠損症は、妊娠中の喫煙と関係がある。

Our economy is inextricably linked with America’s.
我々の経済はアメリカ経済と表裏一体である。

Power and personality are closely linked.
権力と人格は密接に結びついている。

The two TV stations are linked by satellite.
その2つのテレビ局は衛星で結ばれている。

The climbers were linked together by ropes.
登山者たちはロープで結ばれていた。

He walked with her, linking arms.
彼は彼女と腕を組んで歩いた。

「つながる」と言えば、"connect"をよく使いますが、ロングマンでは、動詞の"link"の同義語が"connect"だと書かれています。"link"に、"make a connection"といった定義もされています。

次のように書いているものもあります。

As verbs the difference between connect and link is that connect is to join (to another object): to attach, or to be intended to attach or capable of attaching, to another object while link is to connect two or more things.
動詞としてのconnectとlinkの違いは、connectが「（他の物体と）結合する：他の物体とくっつく、またはくっつくことを意図されている、くっつく能力がある、一方、linkは「二つ以上のものをつなぐ」ことである。

「リンク」も「コネクト」もカタカナ感覚で使っていると、英語での感覚とずれることがありますね。(^_^)

【ポイント２】"romantically"を付けるだけで、「男女の関係」が表れる。

"I know him very well."と言われたら、
"Professionally or romantically?"と聞いてみましょう。(^_^)
「仕事の上で？それとも付き合ってるってこと？」くらいの意味です。

昔は「二人は恋仲だ。」という言い方がありました。今はあまり「恋仲」とは言わないかもしれませんが、まさにそれが"romantically"です。

"romantically"という副詞を使うだけですべてが、「恋愛関係にあって～」という意味になります。

"romantically"を使わなくても、

be involved with somebody

だけで、次のような意味になることがありますが、"romantically"を入れると、必ず恋愛関係を表します。（ロングマンより）

① to be having a romantic relationship with someone, especially a sexual one
恋人関係にあるということ。（特にセクシャルなもの）

The senator denied that he was romantically involved with a member of his staff.
その議員は、スタッフとの恋愛関係については否定した。

②  to spend time with someone that you have a relationship with
自分の関係する人と時間を過ごすこと。

Fathers are encouraged to be more involved with their families.
父親がもっと家庭に関わることを推奨している。
