【ポイント１】"spirit"（スピリット）はどういうときに使えるか。

簡単なのに、使いにくいと感じる単語のひとつが、"spirit"ではないかと思います。

日本語の辞書で、「魂」とか、「生気」とかいった訳がついているからでしょうか。

また「spirit / スピリット」なのか「spirits / スピリッツ」なのかも迷うところではないかと思います。

ロングマン、ケンブリッジを参照して整理します。（日本語で「魂」、「ゴースト」の意味で使われているものは省きます。）

"spirit"

① a particular way of thinking, feeling, or behaving, especially a way that is typical of a particular group of people, an activity, a time, or a place
特定の考え方、感じ方、行動。特に特定のグループ、活動、時代、場所の典型的な方法

次の使い方は、「特定の特徴を持った人」を表すため、"a"が付いています。
