Scenario : 相撲が始まるといつもその日の対戦の結果が気になる。ライブでの対戦は見られないことが多いので、帰宅して家族にお気に入りの力士の対戦の結果を聞くと、かなりのいい取り組みだったらしい。ニュースを見ていると、こう言った。

「 そのニュース番組、スポーツコーナーがあるわよ。」

【ポイント】日本語の「コーナー」は、"corner"ではない。

もともと英語の"corner"は「角」「隅」という意味です。日本語の「コーナー」もふくめて、これらの表現の日常に使えるものをロングマンを参考にしてまとめてみました。
